« Out of Tao, One is born;/Out of One, Two;/Out of Two, Three;/Out of Three, the created universe./The created universe carries the yin at its back, and the yang in front;/Through the union of the pervading principles it reaches harmony »
- Lin Yutang, ‘The Importance of Living’ (1948)
Life on earth has been a challenging experience for most of your humanity’s established history. Pain, suffering, grief, loss and separation are the factors ingrained in your mind when thinking of what the divine path had originally intended for you. To be born human – the species endowed with the greater gifts of love, intellect and higher consciousness – has quickly become a comedy of errors where the blind mask as Kings and lead the enlightened whilst the enlightened are relegated to the role of voiceless paupers. Could this be the result of socioeconomic disparity, the rise in fatherless nations, or even the mental health crisis? Modern day social commentators would argue that it depends on the lens through which one views the evolution of civilisation at this point in time as well as the issues specific to the demographics under study. They would actually be partially correct in that statement... What we believe is missing is humanity’s ability to be aware and conscious of what lies far behind the immediate origins of conflict and entropy in their daily lives and therefore an understanding of the true nature of goodness and its implicit unravelling within the world.
Should one’s house fall under attack, one would do anything to protect its foundation, its identity, its values and the family that lives within it. Over the years, this has led to the strategic formation of different social, economic and political ideals for ensuring the survival of states that would be superior to the others and thereby be the dominant force whose ultimate function is to protect the vulnerable whilst preserving Order within the inner circle. Should these ideals have necessarily led to utopia or idyllic states, their functioning would have defaulted back to peace, kindness and harmonious interactions amongst its populations. Each individual member of that society would then naturally care for the other and there would be less instances of criminal behaviour relapses or even a need for a rigorous justice system. The natural order of things would manifest, and goodness and righteousness would flow. This is the closest representation of what the divine ideal would look like yet none of this has occurred in any human society. What is instead being manufactured is a mirroring of the divine ideal state by those who have usurped the King’s throne whilst the King is out in battle. It is the equivalent of the thieves and villains that appear in your stories, those that have dared steal your office and your name and who make merry amidst the gift of life originally bestowed to you. Plato comes up with a metaphysical and philosophical idea of the original archetype: the Forms. The forms are immutable, unalterable and the only possible reality. All else that exists, and which mirrors the forms is but a copy or reflection of the ideal. The lack of awareness of the God-Head is what erroneously leads to the contemplation that the forms of existence that we are in is what life under divine rule is meant to be. It is strange and perplexing that the mirrored blueprint (Human-Conscience) is unable to intellectualise on the nature of God vs the nature of the manifestation of evil.
This then begets the question: is your true humanity is asleep within the land of thieves and if so, what does it take to awaken who you really are? Patterns within the collective unconscious do not lie after all. Despite being muffled underneath this mass of stolen identities, the collective unconscious seeks the same things over and over again as a part of it recognises these as being a divine birthright. However, we must then also ask a more serious question: do both the usurper masking as human and the soul incarnated as human both deserve the attributes of a divine birthright? As a member of the real humanity, one does not covet that which the other has as one is assured of having all essential needs fulfilled and aligned with the highest good of all that share the same space as oneself. As such, you only wish for peace and serenity, you choose to respect those you care about and have the same respect showered back onto you and lastly you even trust that you will experience love, comradery and admiration from those closest to you. In the absence of the mark of a true spirituality though, humanity instead relies on contemporary masterminds of manifestation for unlocking the hidden gifts, talents and experiences that they wish to have. Though the techniques to achieving these may be real and actual, advanced declinations of the abilities found within higher consciousness and the Universal Mind, the ethics of what is being sought for is rarely brought up. Yet it is necessary that you ask yourselves these questions. If manifestation is a right and in its most simple form, simply knowledge that has now been revealed to nations, should the dark warlord have the same equal right as the good and just governor?
Humanity is willing to accept the reasoning of empirical-based approaches for all aspects of physical reality (treatment of illness, social and political reforms, enhancement of the educational system etc.) as this is a system based on the observation of matter as it presents itself. It is safe and maintains equilibrium whilst ensuring that one is able to function in the world. Reality though is not based on physical matter but on the state of perception of the person experiencing it in the moment. Some materialistic views, such as those influenced by Marxist thought, will indeed suggest that reality evolves through a society built on necessary materialistic needs that forces societal change and development. However, this premise is slightly reductionist in that it presents your state of existence and more importantly the nature of your ever-evolving consciousness as operating alone and under the influence of whichever era you currently find yourself in. If we go back to Plato’s premise of the Ideal Form (symbolically, the God-Head), our perception of reality naturally pulls us towards all that is good, generous, ethical and fair in a society. As explored in the quote from the Tao, the Universe is balanced through two poles: the Yin and the Yang and they both equally seek for higher levels of the Good even if the manifestation of their being is perceived differently. This gentle balance between two complementing structures is what prevents collapse within the multiverse. But this once again brings us to contemplate on a difficult presentation of your reality at the moment: your societies do not inherently encompass the good. There is injustice within the justice system, the innocent take the blame for the wicked and no matter how much good you attempt to exemplify, there is still a dark force at play. Why then would you still choose to remain in a state of unconsciousness of who you really are, what your potential is, what your true history should have been like and what a human society that acts humanely towards each other can achieve?
Bridging the gap between the unconscious or veiled side of your mind and your current consciousness is the road to take for unmasking the impostors and usurpers of the King’s throne. For only then will we be able to make the following possible:
« Uneasy lies the head that wears a crown. »
William Shakespeare, 'Henri IV, Act 3, Scene 1'
