Poem : No. 04, 31st January 2024
The child of the North feeds off your crystal green gaze,
Nimble, proud, fiery
Unlatching the lines of his palms
From the trails of a frosted circle
The child of the South cradles within your blossoming pink bosom,
Beautiful, elegant, slender
Twirling to the sound of the cellos
Whose blades weave onto four corners.
The child of the East rises from your golden aura,
Sensitive, charming, valiant
Wandering alongside the crown
Where the mystic hatchlings of the night meet.
The child of the West immerses herself within the silkiness of your dress,
Soft, affable, captivating
Magnetically clinging to the light of the moon
And covering the sight of the astronaut at twilight.
This is how each child of the seasons appears
Brightened laughter filling us all with wonder
Even as they close their eyes in the midst of the gold of our lives.
